Whether you are an experienced image consultant who wishes to attain third party accreditation through our Masters certification, have just joined the business or work in related industries (personal shoppers, fashion advisors, stylists, health and beauty consultants or you work in the retail sector) we would like YOU to become an active part of the Federation of Image Professionals International .

Once you have joined FIPI you become an Affiliate Member and can progress to become a recognised Master by taking modules of FIPI/City & Guilds Masters Certification Award in Image Consultancy.
Current membership levels:
- Life/Fellows - An honorary status awarded to individuals who have consistently demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the Image Industry. Most Fellows hold the Masters Award in Image Consultancy.
- Masters - Consultants who have demonstrated ongoing commitment and expertise, and hold the FIPI/City and Guilds Masters Award in Image Consultancy.
- Associates - Consultants who are working towards the FIPI/City and Guilds Masters Award in Image Consultancy and have achieved success in some of the modules.
- Registered Affiliates - Consultants who have completed core training with an FIPI Audited Training Provider.
- Affiliates - Open to all consultants and any individuals working within a related business or industry.
Once you have joined, you will receive regular communication updates and relevant training opportunities. FIPI also offers a number of specially selected discounted services through the Member Benefit Scheme.
The most exciting benefit that you will receive is immediate listing on the FIPI website and use of our logo on your corporate stationery.
On the practical side, FIPI offers preferential rates for Public Liability and All Risks insurance. Membership will allow you to assert your professional image and will give you added credibility in an unregulated marketplace. We impose a Code of Professional Practice and a Code of Ethics which will further reinforce this.

Apply to Join
When joining the FIPI there is a one-off initial registration fee of £40; with an annual membership subscription of £100.
When applying, please include the following information with your application:
- Completed application form
- Signed and dated code of practice and ethics
- A brief personal profile in support of your application which should include your working background and interest in personal image development
- Proof of Public Liability Insurance (PLI) if not taking advantage of FIPI's insurance
It is a pre-requisite that all members of FIPI hold Public Liability Insurance. We are able to offer this to members at a preferential rate of £65 per annum for £1m cover. This also includes £1000 All Risks cover for trade samples and associated equipment. Additional All Risks cover is also available at £15 for £2000 cover and £25 for £5000 cover. If you choose not to take advantage of the insurance offered by FIPI or are operating outside the UK please supply proof of your PLI insurance with your application for membership.
